Technical Assistance to Providers

We will launch this effort by conducting a random sample of providers statewide to determine the issues that are most pressing as regards children’s social emotional development and inclusion.  Based upon this survey we will begin to assemble readings, resources and other helpful material from the public domain.  When a request is received, Center staff will make an initial triage decision – e.g., this request can be met with a simple message returned, this request requires that Center staff be on-site to fulfill need, this request is not within our scope and should be referred elsewhere or this request is unclear and needs further input.  Wherever possible we will work to link providers with resources within their communities.  These resources may include individuals, training events, demo sites, etc.  Where the request involves an ongoing commitment by Center staff we will forge appropriate MOUs such that the Center is reimbursed for real-time personnel costs and travel.  By the end of the second year we believe that there will be sufficient certified coaches and trainers statewide such that the Center will play more of a broker role.  To maximize this likelihood, MOUs that are developed will require a local trainer/coach participate as part of any onsite, intensive TA services.
